"Where history breathes through poetry — and the stage becomes resistance."
Dr. Imran Khan is a nationally acclaimed, multi-award-winning playwright, scholar, TV host, and educator based in Islamabad. As a core member of The Curtain Raiser Productions and Chairman of the Dramatics Club at IMPC H-8, he has spent over a decade writing plays that transform Pakistan's history into living, breathing performance.
His PhD dissertation at Quaid-i-Azam University — "Contextualizing Resistance in Punjabi Poetry against the British Raj: 1849–1947" — represents a landmark contribution to South Asian literary history, positioning Punjabi poetry as resistance literature. He holds an MPhil in English Literature from Government College University, Lahore.
As Assistant Professor of English at IMPC H-8 Islamabad and a Visiting Faculty member at QAU, Arid Agriculture University, and Rawalpindi Women University, he is also a prolific Associate Editor (Honorary) at AE Magazine — writing richly researched 'History Corner' narratives for a national readership.
His plays — Sarisht, Mein Haan Waaras, Qeemat, Girah — have won first positions at PNCA, GIKI All-Pakistan Performing Arts Festival, and been nominated for Thespo '18 Mumbai and Atellier's Act Festival Delhi 2019. He has been awarded Best Playwright at numerous national competitions.
Award-winning scripts that weave together Pakistan's history, Partition, and the human condition — performed across the country's most prestigious stages.
